Paint Your Own Furniture (PYOF) Workshop
During this four-hour workshop, you will clean, paint and seal a small piece of furniture or home decor. Prep-One Color Paint- Distress-Seal! Bring a SMALL piece of furniture or wood home décor piece. I.e. a couple of medium-sized picture frames or one large one, a shelf, a chair or stool, maybe even a small side table. A good rule of thumb: if you can carry it by yourself without cart assist, you can bring it! No sanding or prep work is needed before we meet; just wipe the dust off. Repairs should be done before the workshop.

Workshop Includes: All supplies and tools needed for you to complete your piece: from cleaning, prep to paint: paint brushes, sand paper, and sealer. Plus, you keep what’s left in your 8 oz jar of Dixie Belle Paint ($15 value), what’s left in your 8 oz Satin Clear Coat ($15 value), and a good synthetic brush ($12.00 value). What's next? After you register for the workshop, email l.clarke@lefrenchhen.com or call 520-490-8296 with your color selection at least three days prior to class. You can also meet me for a color/project consultation at Collipe Co . Please send us a photo of your piece. Does it have a super glossy finish? Is it mahogany or other wood prone to bleed through if you are going to paint it white? This way we can anticipate if your piece needs prep work with Slick Stick or BOSS before you begin. No prior painting or creating experience needed! We provide all materials and walk you through the process step by step - all you do is show up with your piece and create! At the end of the workshop, you will leave with a piece of furniture or home decor you transformed plus the confidence and support to continue painting even after the class ends! Voila!
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, something you don't mind getting paint on –just in case. We have aprons too! Bring a blanket to cushion and cover your masterpiece during Transporation home.
Classes are limited to provide a guided, hands-on experience with a knowledgeable instructor. Advance registration is required so I can make sure to have enough supplies.

Are there age requirements?
For this class, we suggest the minimum age to be at least 16 years old accompanied with a parent.
Will we use waxes, stains, glazes, multiple colors?
Generally, these will all need additional time. So please consult with us prior to the day of class so we can make arrangements and discuss. Staining generally requires full sanding on your part prior to bringing in - again let's talk.
Is my registration/ticket transferable or refundable?
All registrations are non-refundable and must be paid in advance to ensure materials are ready. While registration is non-refundable, you may transfer your registration to someone else or reschedule your class. However, to activate the transfer or to reschedule, you must call 24 hours in advance to notify me of the change.
