Private Furniture Painting Workshop

Not loving your furniture and want to learn how to transform your space?  Want a private setting and one-on-one instruction?

This introductory workshop includes all supplies and tools needed for you to complete a small piece: cleaning, prep to paint: paint brushes, sandpaper, and sealer. Plus, you keep what’s left in your 8 oz jar of Dixie Belle Paint ($15 value) and what’s left in your 8 oz Satin Clear Coat ($15 value). Your starter kit for continued painting! 

This four-hour furniture painting experience takes place in the comfort of your own home on a day and time you select.  During the workshop, we will clean, paint, and seal a piece together in about four hours. Piece should be a small table or nightstand.  Want help transforming a larger piece such as a china cabinet, hutch or dresser?  I can help you get started with your larger project too!

I'll supply everything you need to paint a small table, chest or dresser. No sanding or prep work is needed before we meet; just wipe the dust off. Any repairs should be done before the workshop. *There will be additional charges for paint and supplies if working on a larger project.

At the end of the workshop, you will have a piece of furniture you transformed plus the confidence and support to continue painting.  Voila!

What's next? Once you've registered online.  Email me @ l.clarke@lefrenchhen.com or call 520-490-8296 to schedule a date.  Once you're on the calendar, we can meet before your workshop to go over colors and any advanced techniques you may want to add. *Glazing or waxing is part of our Advanced Techniques class.  Color and project consultations are included as part of your workshop and take place at my boutique located inside Midtown Mercantile Merchants.  After that, you'll need to let me know your color selection at least three days prior to your workshop. 

Please send us a photo of your piece. Does it have a super glossy finish? Is it mahogany or other wood prone to bleed through if you are going to paint it white? This way we can anticipate if your piece needs prep work with Slick Stick or BOSS before you begin. Send photo to l.clarke@lefrenchhen.com

Are there age requirements?
For this class, we suggest the minimum age to be at least 12 years old accompanied with a parent.

Will we use stains, glazes, multiple colors?

Decorative waxes, glazes, and advanced techniques are available during the Private Advanced Techniques Workshop and scheduled for a different day.  The paint and sealer should cure at least 24 hours before applying embellishments. This advanced workshop costs $60, two hour minimum and includes access to my unlimited supply of waxes and glazes.  *Transfers and tissue decoupage papers must be purchased separately in advance of this advanced techniques workshop.

Is my registration/ticket transferable or refundable?
All registrations are non-refundable and must be paid in advance to ensure materials are ready.  While registration is non-refundable, you may transfer your registration to someone else or reschedule your workshop.   However, to activate the transfer or to reschedule, you must call 24 hours in advance to notify me of the change.
